The DIS4SME aim is to provide SMEs with the right skills required to orient their Digital Transformation (DT) strategies and plans around data interoperability, as an enabler of all the key capacity areas addressed by the Digital Europe Programme.
Data interoperability plays a crucial role in the ICT sector and in all the processes dealing with location, as also proven by the outcomes of the ELISE (European Location Interoperability Solutions for e-Government) actions of the Interoperability ISA/ISA2 (Interoperability Solutions for Public Authorities, Businesses and
Citizens) of EC Programme (DG DIGIT), where the Digital Europe Programme built from.
Data spaces and high-value datasets, as referred to in the EU Data Strategy and in the Open Data Directive, represent two examples of drivers in different data economy scenarios impactful for SMEs. SME are facing several knowledge gaps related to emerging DT trends, not only related to technologies, rather, primarily, related to data policies. DIS4SME will deliver different types of courses targeted to SMEs, covering state-of-the-art technologies as well as policy trends.
DIS4SME offers a series of specialised FREE courses that train SMEs managers and technicians in the effective use of location and other spatial data, aligned with the latest European policies and technology trends. Our courses cover key sectors such as digital agriculture, urban mobility, direct-to-consumer commerce, advanced urban planning and data interoperability in general.
