Cooperation progect aiming at the development of tools and methodologies for the assessment of climate change in the Mediterranean area, and of the impacts on agriculture in Mediterranean areas at desertification risk.
The CYCAS-MED is a cooperation project aiming at the development of tools and methodologies for
(i) the assessment of climate change in the Mediterranean area;
(ii) the assessment of the impacts on agriculture in Mediterranean areas at desertification risk;
(iii) the determination of most suitable mitigation and adaptation strategies, economically and socially sustainable, able to reduce and oppose the negative effects of climate change.
The project has 3 partners:
- Centre Régional de la Recherche Agronomique de Settat (Marocco), CNR- Institute of Biometeorology (IBIMET, Sassari, Italy), and CNR-IMATI (coordinator).
Project results have been presented during the final workshop “Biodiversity in Agro-ecosystems”
